Custom Lateral Protective Devices Fabricated for Salvadore Trucking

We recently wrapped up a custom fabrication and installation job for Salvadore Trucking out of Oakham, MA - and this one was all about safety where it counts. The work? Lateral protective devices built from scratch and mounted directly to their Mack Granite dump truck.

Lateral protective devices - sometimes called side underride guards - are designed to prevent smaller vehicles from sliding under the side of a commercial truck in the event of a collision. It's the kind of add-on that doesn't get talked about enough, but for fleets running heavy equipment on busy roads, it's a serious layer of protection.

We fabricated these units to fit clean and tight to the frame. Each device is finished in flat black steel with red and white reflective tape running the full width - so they're visible day and night. The fit is solid, the welds are clean, and they sit exactly where they need to for maximum effectiveness.
