Custom Metal Railings Fabricated and Installed for In-Law Apartment

When someone is setting up an in-law apartment, safety around stairways is one of those things you can't cut corners on. Open stairwells without proper railings are a real hazard - especially for older family members. That's exactly the kind of problem we were brought in to solve here.

We fabricated and installed a full railing system for this in-law apartment setup. The stairwell railing and the upper landing enclosure both needed to be built from scratch. No off-the-shelf solution was going to work here - the layout required custom fitting to match the specific dimensions of the space.

The fabrication work had to meet code requirements, and we made sure it did. Every vertical post is evenly spaced and solidly anchored. The handrail runs the full length of the stairway with a secure wall-mount bracket at the base. Up top, the landing enclosure gives a clean barrier between the open floor and the stairwell drop - no wobble, no gaps, just a tight and sturdy build.

What we ended up with is a railing system that looks like it belongs there. It doesn't feel like an afterthought. The finish ties into the space well, and more importantly, it's built to hold.
